SJ

Sometimes it’s fun to just play tourist around town and see things with a new set of eyes. The pictures I took today are things I have seen many times over the last 5 years in my various trips downtown San Jose, but I have never taken the time to stop and smell the roses, …

Coastal

Over Christmas, Brigite and I explored the northern coast and drove around the Mendocino Coast area and see the beautiful landscape and the Point Arena Lighthouse. The lushness of California always amazes me and the colors and sights constantly surprise me when I look back at pictures.

New York: Night Mode

A few of my favorite night shots from Brigite and my trip to New York. It’s always fun to re-visit a place and see things in a new light (and get lucky enough to not see scaffolding!).

Richmond

Final post of the day (when I got the motivation why not keep posting?). We were in Richmond over Thanksgiving, and surprisingly it was actually a pretty fun town! The historic and renewed restaurant/bar scene were pretty nice and lent it’s self to a fun day of pictures and eating/drinking (Champion Brewery had a great …

Make way for Ducklings

A second post for the day (when you’re on a roll, why stop?). I was in Boston a few months ago for work and took the opportunity to go into the city over the weekend and walk around. A statue that stood out in the various pictures I saw was the “Make Way for Ducklings!” …

Wetland

One random weekend last year Brigite and I drove out to the Don Edwards Wetland by the Dumbarton bridge and took a little stroll along the water ways. The smell wasn’t as bay as the other side of the bad, and the number of birds and the views of both the bridge and Hetch Hetchy …

New York: Rooftops

Brigite and I continued our trip in New York City by going to quite a few of the highest points around which included the Empire States Building and the new One World Trade Center. This allowed for some incredible views and some amazing night shots of the city. These were some great nights, and I …

Petra

Got to check another item off the bucket list this year by taking advantage of my travel to make a side trip to Petra in Jordan. Although I was a little un-easy about stepping foot in a Muslim country, the experience was amazing and one of those times where words and pictures just don’t explain. …

Sea Ranch

Christmas this year I spent out in California with Brigite and her family. In addition to new traditions and new warm, wonderful people, Brigite and I went on a little road trip and explored northern California. After checking out website and Pinterest I found the “Sea Ranch Chapel” and was inspired to go check it …

New York: Give me Your Tired

Finally did an item off the bucket list and saw the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. I’d been to New York multiple times but never got the opportunity nor had the time to go to these islands and experience these things for myself first hand. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. We could …
